This time, Lennon Tool Bar ventures into Alishan Mountains, the deep land of ancient trees, and a mountainous town preserved in the expansive mist located in Northeastern Taiwan. Let’s all go for a walk together. Buried deep beneath the earth’s surface millions of years ago, the searing lava dragons slowly emerged from their slumber. Their backs are adorned with golden grass swaying in the autumn breeze, resembling waves of liquid gold. Initially, it started to promote arts and crafts of Indigo Dyeing, a business that flourished a century ago in Taiwan, and at the time, Taiwan exported a considerable amount of “doroai,” or the raw material of colorants used in Indigo Dyeing, to the Japanese Empire. Lennon Tool Bar draws inspiration from the traditional process and the popular colors used in Indigo Dyeing.
